MacBook and MacBook Pro: Startup Manager doesn’t appear

Certain MacBook and MacBook Pro computers may not display the Startup Manager (Boot Picker) when configured with supported versions of Windows (using Boot Camp) and Mac OS X.  In such cases, setting the startup disk may not start up the computer into the desired volume.
